Description
Assigning static addresses to core VVoIP devices permits tighter control using ACLs on firewalls and routers to help in the protection of these devices. NOTE: In the event DHCP is used for address assignment, ensure the DHCP server assigns the same address to the core VVoIP device each time one is requested.

Do not use DHCP to assign IP addresses to V-VoIP core devices; Configure each device with a specific IP address
OR
If DHCP must be used, configure the DHCP server to provide the same IP address to each specific VVoIP system core device when requested
