Description
Information flow control regulates where information is allowed to travel within a network and between interconnected networks. The flow of all network traffic must be monitored and controlled so it does not introduce any unacceptable risk to the network infrastructure or data. Restrictions can be enforced based on source and destination IP addresses as well as the ports and services being requested using security policy filters. Organization defined security policy filters include but are not limited to; dirty word filters, file type checking filters, structured data filters, unstructured data filters, metadata content filters, and hidden content filters. This requirement is NA because a router does not filter on these elements.
